Clips
Using clips have a number of advantages to diving. Most importantly clips will keep your equipment safe and out of your way by keeping your hoses and other accessories close to your body. Another major advantage to using clips is that they will streamline you and your gear creating less drag while swimming through the water. Most diving clips will have a male or female adapter and in some cases can attach directly to your BC while other types of clips can snap directly onto the D-rings of your BC
Reels
Dive reels provide divers the ability to keep their sense of direction while diving. Most commonly used in wreck and cave diving a dive reel helps the diver return to their starting point in low visibility conditions. Dive reels can also be used for search and recovery, underwater mapping, decompression stops, lift bags along with many other things. Dive reels come in many different sizes, shapes, and features depending on what needs to be accomplished.
Retractors
Retractors are similar to clips and are great for keeping your gauges close, easily accessible, and streamlined. More importantly they allow for you to extend your equipment up to a certain length and have it auto-recoil when you’re not using it. Retractors are a great solution for keeping lights, compasses, and other accessories easily available to you without having them getting in your way. Depending on the size and length of retractor you buy they can be used for a variety of things.
